Postage costs an be found here.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship all over the world.
What does this dress cost in *this currency*?
We use xe.com to check currency conversions when asked but of course we can't guarantee an exact price -it is all down to how Paypal works it out.
Can I get a fabric sample?
You can order a sample of most of our fabricsget them here. Some of the more expensive fabrics are ordered in specially for orders so samples are not available.
I don't usually fall into one size category, will this cause a problem?

How much would *this combination* be?
We get this question a lot and we are happy to answer it but it is very simple to check for yourself. Just add the combination of choice to your cart. There is absolutely no obligation to check out.
I would like to have one of your styles altered slightly for my made to order dress, is this possible?
Yes, just email firstname.lastname@example.org with your request and we will reply as soon as we can with an answer. If we decide it is possible we ask you then to make a note through the website 'special instructions' field when checking out (after logging into Paypal, before payment) with details when checking out. Usually we will be able to make adjustments for you but please do check before paying. You can see some examples of customisations that have been made here.
Why don't you offer jersey as a fabric option?
We have a real passion for authentic 1950s fashion and back then there was limited access to fabrics such as jersey. We also believe that the stretch in jersey makes dresses made from it much less flattering. We do, however offer the option of stetch cottons because although they have elastane in them they are still far more structured than jersey type fabrics.
I have a fabric that I would love a dress made in, can you do this for me?
Yes, we have done this for lots of customers already. We charge £55 per dress to be made in your own fabric. A skirt would be £40.
I really need a dress in *this style of fabric*, can you help me?
Of course. We are always sourcing new fabrics and would be happy to help source something suitable for you. However, if it is something very specific, chances are it will cost more than our regular fabrics.
What payment platform do you use?
Can I buy fabric from you?
Sorry, we do not sell fabric. We spend a lot of time and effort sourcing our large range of fabric.
I want to buy a dress in the future in a specific fabric, will you still have it in stock?
Our fabric stock can change very quickly so we can't guarantee that we will still have the same ones available even in the next few days. However, you are more than welcome to reserve a fabric - just add the fabric to your cart and leave a note in the 'special instructions' field at the checkout. Then when it comes to ordering your dress you only have to add the bodice and skirt (plus any extras you may want) and check out. Please note that the payment for your reserved fabric stands as a deposit and is non-refundable and non-transferable if you change your mind. Holding fabric back keeps us from making potential sales when the fabric goes out of stock on the website.
If I buy two made to order dresses at the same time how will you know which options I want to go together?
If you complete one full dress at a time we will see what you want together - i.e add the bodice, skirt and fabric for the first dress and only then go on to adding another bodice etc. If in doubt please leave a note upon checkout.
What discounts do you offer for return customers?
We have a loyalty scheme. Details can be found here.
Why do some of your fabrics say 'one way fabric'?
The fabrics which say this have a one way design. This means that a dress made with a full circle skirt in these fabrics would have the print on its side at the side seams or on it's side at the front. For example the aqua Flamingos fabric would look like the flamingos had fallen on to their sides at the front of a full circle skirt. If the print is on it's side at the front we will make the full circle in 4 quarters with a seam up the front to correct this, unless the customer specifically requests otherwise. We would recommend a full gathered skirt is chosen for one way fabrics rather than a full circle skirt.
I love your dresses, how can I tell the world?
We have a 'Guest book' page which we love to hear your feedback on. You can also find us on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest.
Sometimes fabrics go out of stock, before we have a chance to update the website. If this happens to you we will let you know as soon as we can and refund your payment.
